I have never had a DR and am thinking about trying them so any input would be helpful. I have ET streets and killed them in a week. Will DR's last any longer? I can't loosen my suspension any more without buying new springs so I really don't know if the DR can take the shock. Basically looking for something that will last a little while(more than a week) and will hook at the track.

The MT drag radials have the tread wear rating as the ET streets, so I dont think they will last any longer, but how did you wear out a set in a week?? Lots of dry burn outs on the street , that will kill any zero treadwear tire in no time.

I have used both and the radials wear much quicker. IMO
The ET streets seems to last much longer and I believe the compund on the radial is softer.....It is definately harder to get off the car and is goey on the car.

et streets will not last for shit on the road, the new bfg drag radials lasted awhile for me on the road and hook up rather well they also dont get the sway like the et streets do at lower pressure, but the et streets do hook up better that the drs to to each his own

I still have the same set of M/T drag radials on my Cobra from last season and I've done some rather large burnouts with them. 1.6x all day on 17" tires. They should work good for you Shane...

As slow as your car is Shane, you could probably get away with a 225/55-16 street radial. :D

Yes. Do they last longer than an ET street and will they hook as good at the track on something that 60' a 1.70? :frml:

On a 26" Hoosier slick I went 1.57. On the same day I went 1.61 on the MT Drag Radial.
The drag radial will hook just as good, and I drove about 7500 miles on my last set of MT DR's and all my runs last year and a few the year before were all on those tires. I just bought a new set, I'm gonna see how long they will last without racing at all, I bet I can get 10K out of them.
I also found the hookup for MT DR's CHEAP!

I used M/T ET streets and drove them all season, did many many long burnouts with them and they still had life left when i sold the car.

I ended up buying M/T Sportsman radials for the front and M/T DR's for the rear. Car handles excellent on the road and even hooks on wet roads were as the ET streets you were stuck on wet roads. :bna :bna :bna
