Anybody know of anyone using one of Lance's carbs,
or dealt with Lance?
I am in the market for a new HP1000 and looking for a good carb builder.

IMO there are two places to look at.....one fairly local and one not. Bigg's carbs does really good, fairly cheap custom carbs. I think they're down from the Eau Claire area. And Patrick James of Pro Systems does the best....but he is expensive and from the Detroit area. I think i paid $1300 for my 1050 nitrous Pro Systems Dominator that flowed 1130 CFM. At a dyno session, the operator and I spent a bunch of time playing with the air bleeds trying to flatten the a/f out because it leaned out on the top end of the pull. And what happens as bottle pressure drops during a run?....yep, the tune gets fatter. So i basically pissed all that time away and wound up putting it back to where i originally started. That's why you pay the extra money with Patrick. His carbs are on most of the fast heeads up cars that i know. Jesse at Bigg's is a great guy too, but you can't compare him to Patrick. You just need to figure out how much $$ you need to spend for your application and go from there. Either place is just a Google away. PM me if you need any help contacting them.

Thanks, Dave.
I have talked with Patrick already and I will either be buying one from him or Lance.
Lance does no advertising and does a bunch of Pro-stock stuff etc. I'm told.
However Patrick has a great rep anywhere you go. I am prepared to spend the $$$
required. And need the best performance possible out of a 4150 series carb.

I like good old fashion Holley HP carbs. You can give someone your combination and all details of your car so they can build you a carb or you can learn how carburetors work and modify and tune your carb yourself. A wise man once told me that and it seems to be sound working for me.

What about Braswell carbs? I heard they are the shiznit. I also heard big $ too. S.A.M. runs them on all there school projects, and some NHRA prostock teams run the Dominators also. Nate says they are VERY nice.
