View Full Version : Trick flow heads
Whats everybody's opinion on trick flow heads? I have heard that they have really shitty springs on them.
I was looking at #TFS-30400006 for my car.
Info can be found here.trick flow (http://www.trickflow.com/product/prfeature_index.htm)
I'm wondering if there will be too big for a 350 with 9.3 to 1 compression and a 218 / 220 @.050, 525 lift roller cam. The TPI is going bye bye..i have already decided on that. Either Holley stealth ram or LT1 intake conversion. I have yet to decide.
I'm just a very confused person..lol :D:

Trick Flow heads are nice street heads. Who says they have shitty springs on them? They will be a nice addition to your set up.
I did i search on thirdgen.org and there more than just a few people that said there springs failed with only 460 lift cams.

I will be using fully ported versions on my 302 (should i ever get all the other issues fixed with the car). Cam I have is similarly speced, though has more lift. The springs will only be crappy if you need to replace them for the cam.
I should correct myself..after more snooping, they were almost all on the older twisted wedge version, not on the newwer 23 degree heads..opps my mistake.
Darrel........whats your price on these?

A friend of mine has a set of High Ports. It seems lately, for SB Fords anyway, that its either Trick Flows or AFRs for the "hot ticket"

AFRs have a small advantage out of the box but when it comes to port work, Trick Flow takes the gold........according to Fox Lake and Keith Craft anyway.
If i had the cash i would go with the AFR's, but there over my budget and actually very hard to get.
