Band adjustment........Brommo????

What is the proper procedure for adjusting bands on a C4?

Does this sound about right??????? I found this on the internet.

"To adjust the front band; loosen outer jam nut with a 3/4" wrench, tighten band adjusting screw to 120 in. lbs. and back off 1 turn, then hold the band adjusting screw in this position and tighten jam nut securely. The same procedure is used on the rear band, only back off the adjusting screw 2 turns instead of 1."

If I am correct, that would only be a 1/4 turn less than where you originally set it, which was to tight?:confused:

acording to my books intermediate band torq to 10ftlbsthen back off 1 3/4 turns then tighten lock nut reverse band same torq then back off 3 turns and tighten lock nut this is for 70-72 c4s hope this helps
