i tried putting an edlebrock performer intake on my monte motor yesterday and i got all bolt holes to line up but the middle ones. there at a different angle and seem to pull the intake apart so both sides wont go in only one or none. any ways i can fix this or any other solutions u might have would be great...

What heads and what part # intake do you have? Sounds like throttle body heads with an intake for standard heads.

yup, i would say you got the wrong intake for those heads,, i have seen people just drill out the center holes a bit and use a washer on the bolt, but if you want it to be correct you will need the correct intake

What they said. You have TBI heads. Either fix will work,... if it was mine I'd buy a new intake.

I'll be doing the modification method in a few weeks with my Pontiac. I have TBI heads and a vintage Edelbrock intake. If you go that route contact me.

You can just get a peice of small steel for the bolt to go threw and cut the correct angle on the bottom so it makes the bolt go straight in.
