ok im hoping someone can shed some light on this before i ether buy a trans or sell the car...
82 olds delta 88 royal broham(burham) ehh anyways 106k miles, power everything blah blah blah v8 4 speed auto trans, 200 r4? 200POS? haha
ok.. tonight it started to act up on me, will work fine from 1-2-3-4 but stil in gear in nuetral (car still moves forward like your in drive) and revers seems to be trying to go forward and back wards (loads up car but dont move or lean like it would when you stand on the converter :fight: :fight: ) park is stil pack but car wants to move but park pin holds it... WTF is going on here??? this is my daily drive/winter beater .. its agreat car alllways starts and takes me where i need to go and is comfortable and actualy good on gas for being a v8 .. car is all stock minus cat and muffler so its not makin no more power than the stock trans can handle.... any one have a good explination to as why its doing this?? i can still drive it just cant park anywhere that i cwould have to back up..

sounds like a burnt up forward clutch pack {burnt up and stuck together}

wicked..... all in time for the winter season.. and my son is due in 2-4 weeks!! i gotta get atrans in there asap... will a chevy th350 trans work with mine??

Aric, I know you've heard it before but why don't you just by a good family car/SUV instead of buying junk all the time? You would save a bunch of money and headaches in the long run.

there is nothing wrong with my olds its actualy areally nice car runs great DID drive great.. got 18-20 mpg) awsome heat and very comfortable and its 4 door....... the car was taken great care of a older lady owned it forever and a day and my firends mom owned it for the last almost 4 years

yeah... dont really want to put the stock junk back in it... th350 much better IMHO but i guess i will have to.. buy ya gotta remeber they dont like me at american
