Tire fitment...

Does anyone here know how big of a tire fits in a stock 69 nova wheel well? I know a kid who has a set of old slicks but he doesnt know the exact size, he thought they were 15 r 26.5 x 10 or something like that. Right now I have mono leaf rear springs, but was thinking about going with multileafs when i do the rear end.

Ok after some researching I think I can get them to fit if i run a 4.5" or 4.75" backspacing. But Im still not sure what width of a rim to try it on. The tire is a 26.5x10 for a 15 inch rim. Would these fit better on an 8 inch rim or could i sneak them on a 7 inch rim?

10" of tread width? At least an 8" rim.
