What causes fuel to drip from the boosters on a holley carb. I was running my car last nite and i noticed fuel dribbling from the boosters while it was running. It wasn't consistent and it wasn't much but it was there. Is a little normal? After I shut it down it still dripped a little also. Is my fuel press. 2 high? I'm running about 8psi, or are my needle and seats weak? Any ideas? Thanks.

I had that happen a couple times. My problem was caused by the needle sticking open.

most of the time it's because you are past the idel & getting into the midrange. I would bet your throttle blades are open to far. most of the time if your neddel & seat can't hold back the 8psi, then gas will flow out the vent tubes on top of the carb.

Three things and only three things will cause this.

1. Float level too high (caused by misadjustment, sticky needle and seat and/or bad float)
2. idle screw turned up too high
3. Fuel pressure too high

Hey John is it all the boosters or just the secondary side's ?
If it is all the boosters I'd guess pressure is too high .
New needles and seat's work miracles LOL!!! be sure and get the big ones not the little street needle valves .
If the secondary side is drooling take the carb off and turn it upside down and look for the secondary side stopper set screw for the secondary blades .
back it off til the blades just close all the way and open them up 1/4 turn . that should take the vac signal away from the secondary boosters at idle.
I like the secondary's almost shut with a double pumper carb .
with a vac. secondary carb I like the secondary blades open farther to reduce the bog inherent with those carbs . I set those at 1/2 to 3/4 turn just to have some air flow before they open at W.O.T. :hello:
