Whats the right way to set the idle mixture screws on a holley carb. it only has one metering block and i don't have a vacuum gauge.

The best way is with a vacuum gauge. Adjust them until you get the highest manifold vacuum. You might have to turn the idle down and repeat the process a few times. Otherwise you can set them with a tach too if you don't have a vacuum gauge. Adjust them for the highest idle, then turn the idle screw down to the proper idle and repeat the process if necessary.
