I am looking for the band adjusment specs for a 1999 46RE transmission. I plan on changing fluid and filter before the towing season starts, and would like to adjust the rear band while the pan is off. I am getting conflicting answers when I do a web search, and am hoping someone here might work at a dodge garage and has the info I need. I also need the specs for the front band adjusment.

if you need anything else, let me know.. I have a transgo shift kit video for the 46re, that tells you how to adjust them also, I'll pop it in and hit play, and tell you what I find out.

I looked it up this morning for ya Kamu, Front band- Back off lock nut 5 turns, Torque adj. screw to 72 in. lbs. then back off adj. screw 2 & 7/8 turns and torque lock nut to 30 ft. lbs. Rear band- Back off the lock nut 5 turns, torque adj. screw to 72 in. lbs. then back off adj. screw 2 turns and torque lock nut to 25 ft. lbs. Our dodge trans guy said the front one isn't very easy to get to but the problems they see are more with the rear band anyway. There ya go dude, Later!
