I am looking to rebuild my 12 bolt carrier in the nova and I was wondering what u guys thought about the lock-right lockers, or if I should just buy the rebuild kit or go with a new Eaton carrier. I don't know what I want to do and any advice would be great.
By the way, daily driver might see some track time sooner or later.

put a spool in it. I ran one in the Black Ranger and drove that on the street for two summers. Tires chater alittle turning, makes the kids on bike and old people walking nerves

Put in a tru-trax
I used a lock-right for a while with my 10 bolt. I did not like it. After making a sharp turn and then going straight for awhile all of a sudden it would unlock or lock and make the ass-end twitch. A real pain in the ass on wet pavement.

The dog-tooth gears tend to round off over time in the Lockright. My buddy's in his F-150 rounded off in a few months of hard use.
Generally, a lunchbox locker can handle anything you throw at a 10 bolt (and outlive it), but if you're gonna be throwing some good power at it in a 12 bolt, I'd ante up and get something like a Detroit Locker or a True-trac.

I had an auburn pro-series in my old suburban, and I wasn't that fond of it....not a strong enough lockup for my taste.

I'd like to keep it stock if I can, its not a race car, just a daily driver.
