It was a good time last night. Seen alot of new cars showed up. 2 alcohol rail cars were there. Those things were awesome! Brian handed the GS his ass. A big fight broke out over a guy calling another guys car junk. Brian got pissed and said words that I have never heard come out of his mouth before:D: . Mijal, Shane, Snowseeker and 67 Mike showed up. Snowseeker pussed out and didn't bring his car. I was really looking forward to the tennis ball spot too:D: . Rumor has it that Dan Van Daalwyk was in the house. I didn't get a chance to bump into him though. Mike (93GT) was there with his little guy. Things got real hectic in the short staging lanes. I had to request the help of my father in law to keep everything in line. None the less, Ray was very disapointed at the end of the night. I guess he seen something that we didn't because I thought we had things under control. We were way under staffed. I am sure that will be taken into consideration durning the planning of next years events over this winter. Hopefully we will be doing WIR as well as GLD next year. Everyone get your cars together over the winter. I don't want to hear any excuses next year!!!!!

yeah I wish I would have gotten a slip on my last run :( . Was suppose to be a pro tree and ended up being off a flag. I still won and they guy I was racing said it was probably the 10.6X pass I was chasing all night. He said he was amazed on how the car came out of the hole on that pass. I was in the rubber from the GS from the pass before and the car hooked HARD. Probably another 1.4XX 60ft. Darrel you see any of my runs on the video? Please tell me you got me taking out Xbreed and not me getting my ass handed to me by the 540ci OLDS.

Yeah, but in those 10 years I have had many other cars which I drove on the street daily and took to the track often.
So there!:bna

Rex, I haven't looked at the video yet. Eric was running the camera last night because I was up to my armpits in cars in the staging lanes. I will look at it sometime this weekend.

Ray is one of the owners. He is a bit hot headed. He seemed to think we didn't have control of the short staging lanes. I would like to see him down there next time controlling it. I thought we had it under control. I talked to Brian about it and he thinks we did a good job. I think Ray was just flexing his muscles.
The fights were bullshit. Fighting doesn't belong with racing. Brian lost his cool but who can blame him. It got everyones attention, that's for sure. That's one thing about RSD events, when Brian talks everyone listens. He did apologize to the crowd afterwords for the profanity. Those idiots fighting put the whole event in jeopardy for everyone.
On a brighter note, Brian's last run of the night was his best run of the year I think. 2/10ths faster than his previous best from the night before. I need to get my car together so I can wack his ass!:D:
Look for RSD at WIR next year as well as GLD. The details are not ironed out yet but it is looking pretty good. We are working on ways to make the event run more efficient too. Brian and I talked tonight and have come up with a few ideas. All I can say is it is only going to get better!

I was always thinking, Wouldn't it be easy to just have people pull up and race all night like on a wed. at KK? Insted of having timed runs, short lanes, hot rod, pro, why not just have them race as they come?
And for the RSD part could you have the time slip cut in half so at least you know what you are running?

The reason for the short staging lanes is for the guys that set up street races. Those are the feature races. The no clocks time runs are there so you can make a pass or two with your car so you know where you are at for the night. Then there are also some heads up street races through out the night where you get who ever you are dealt. That is where the pro tree lane comes into play. Then they have to have a sportsman tree lane for the radial tire retards because they are too much of pussies to run off the pro tree. I can see everything going to a pro tree next year. It has to be done the way it is. This last one just got out of hand because we were under staffed. Big changes for next year. And I can't wait to start doing this at WIR because I am sick of the puke burgers at GLD!

LOL puke burgers!!
I think it would be fun to have just heads up racing all night. Just line up race, line up race, line up race. And if you want to see your time they could cut the time slip in half and just give you your side of the slip.

Heads up racing is MOSTLY between friends
Down here, the MONEY races almost always have some kind of "spot" involved

I'd like that too, Only thing i'd like to see is that the cars were more closely grouped. Street tire- one lane, drag radial- one lane and slicks in another lane. I think it would be better for racing and better for the fans. I know that i wouldn't have to race 10 to 9 seconds cars then and have my ass handed to me. It would just make it more competitive.

You can race whoever you want to race. Radial tires ☺☺☺☺ up the starting line and make it slick as shit. I would like to see all cars on an ET Street or Slick. Not only will the track not get slippery from the radial junk but the drivers that have been radial retards all of there life will finally know what it is like to actually launch the car and hook. I am going to start a thread for RSD suggestions.

Good burgers and lots of runs(down the 1/4 mile not the little blue huts ) are in the plans but first I need to contact Brian and sort out the details.
Oh yeah and burnout contests, everyone likes those.
I am thinking about 1 friday per month, What do you guys think?:bna
By the way what is a tennis ball spot?

One friday a month sounds good. Have it on a different week than the GLD RSD so we can bring those boys up to WIR and vice versa.
Tennis ball spot: The guy being spotted out throws a tennis ball down the track. Where the ball lands is where he gets to start from. Snowseeker was supposed to get a tennis ball spot from Brian but Snowseeker failed to bring his car.
