i was wondering what everyones opinions are on some of the auto shifters on the market. ive been looking at the cheetah, hurst quarter stick and the hurst pistol grip. pro's and cons of each please. thanks

i really like the hurst quarter stick. once you get used to any shifter you buy you will be ok. i was able to tuck it in my mustang in the stock location and had enough room to even put a 5 speed boot around it. i will post a pick later.

I personally liked the B&M pro ratchet shifter .. but if money was no object, thne cheetah is awesome!

Cheetah and Winter's shifters are the cats ass. The Quarter Stick is really nice to like Jim said. Cheap, simple and effective. I can't think of any cons of any of the shifters I listed. My personal favorite is the Winter's shifter. Damn near the same thing as the Cheetah but has a different handle and reverse lockout. The Cheetah and Winter's shifters also come with a big thick cable unlike B&M and Hurst.

cool thanks guys.

just ordered a hardened input shaft,reverse manual valve body and a pro shift servo from PA so this is the last part for the tranny.

good thinking with the input shaft. stock ones are very weak.

i figured it is cheap insurance just to do it right the first time.
