My nova has a 12 bolt posi in it and the other day I wanted to burn my tires off and I went to do a brake torque and just one tire spun, but when I let off the brake they both broke lose, I rode around some more thinking maybe it just needed to be warmed up but it still does it. Anyone know why that could be.

with posi both tires don't always spin
If its a stock GM rear, carrier and all. Thats pretty common, just about evey vehicle i have had would do that ever now and then. Even my truck with a auburn carrier in it, still did that.

this is how you check it..and you can shim the clutches so it holds better.

posi or limited slip puts power to the side with the most traction unlike a open a eaton locker will put it to both depending on speed the only way to make it tru posi is to do a spool or mini or weld your spiders like a redneck
