i am so happy with this season.


2 years ago i race maybe 4 races in street class.

then last year was my first year in hot rod. i missed 7 races and placed 38th.

my goal for this year at the beginning was top 20. well, the season started out so good that the goal changed from top 20 to top 10. i have done it.............and boy, the up's and the down's almost killed me, but it was worth it. and it could not have been done without chuck. he helped tune the car, he provided support when i raced the car, and he earned us 12 points with the car over 3 races. that is a pretty good average for only being in the car 4 times total.

i was looking back at stuff.................

if somers would have at least gotten 3 points (first round loss points) for each of the 3 races he wasn't there for would have tied him for 7th place.

Congratulations Jim.

I know how hard and expensive it is just getting my car to the track once this year, guys like you that do it as many times a year as you do earn all my respect for your dedication.

Congrats!!!!! Everytime I saw you race( even in qualifing ) you always cut great lights and ran the number!

i was just going through my log book at work tonight. man do i learn a lot from that thing. my racing looked real good at the start of the year, and i lost some 1st rounds later on to some real good racers that kinda put things down hill for me.

sparrow and i also talked for a while at work last night about the ups and downs of this sport. this was my first complete season, and the stress feels like it's gonna kill you at times. but then out of nowhere, you win a handful of rounds and everything instantly changes. it is one hell of a rollorcoaster ride......................and I LOVE IT, no matter how much i hate it!!!! :D:

.........and you drag race when? How often? Your car has too much dust on it for you to drag race often.

Congrats Jim and Chuck!!! What a great season! Say ah.......if you need any help with an acceptance speech at the banquet I can loan you the last half of mine from last year that I didn't get to. LOL:rolleyes: Anyways, there's still one more week of racing and just for the money. Remember....Winning IS all that matters.

i'm really pumped for the gamblers race, and sad at the same time. it's the last one for the year. it'll be fun just to race for the money and not for points. like we talked about that day. this is one where we don't HAVE to be there for.
