Anybody know of someone or a shop in the Oshkosh area who knows how to put a rearend together?? I will have all my parts this week and i don't have the tools to put it together, mainly like the measureing equipment for the pinion depth. I would like it done by a professional so i don't have to worry about it. I know a guy in berlin who is reliable but takes to damn long.

the guy that built my engine could do it for you. the best way to do it with him is to take him your rear out of the car. i bet it would be less than $300.

i already have the rear out, i took it out to weld up the axle tubes and i had to change the control arms bushings anyways. That seems really high priced, i have done some myself, but with the money i invested in parts already i want it done right. I was thinking more like $50 to $75, all they have to do is install the pinion and carrier at the correct depth. Shouldn't take more than an hour.

if you want to call him for a price let me know. i'll give you his number.

it should be shimmed from side to side, and the pinion needs to be shimmed.

Nice and warm here, too bad it has been down pouring since I woke up, and weather doesn't show it letting up anytime soon. I sure hope rainy season is over soon so I can get to the track again.
