the first time i saw him was at GLD with Stud, Mijal, Mike V., and Kevin. the guys from Hot Rod TV were there too along with Billy Glidden.

But it got rained out. :(

I was there that weekend too. It was my first major drag event. Even though it was rained out, I was hooked.
