Are there sposed to be a little longer push rods for that cam? When I put the rods in and tightend the rockers down there is like a 1/4 inch of play in the rods.

What year is the block that you are using? Are the push rods out of that block?

the 1985 and up with the roller cam should use the 6.250 like you have.

LOL Thanks stud!
The rods are out of this block. It is a 85 rollor motor. I am thinking the cam is a smaller diameter off lift. Just have to order longer rods.

To the best of my knowledge that should work with stock pushrods. It shouldn't be a different diameter. What kind of rocker arms are you using? Pedestal or stud mount? If your using pedestal you may just need to shim the rockers. This is fairly common on the pedestal mount rockers from what I can tell, I have never used them myself.

Yes everything is original on this motor, heads, block, pistons, rockers, rods, vlaves, except the cam. :)
they make shims for the pedastal rockers? Hmmm. Yes they are pedastal rockers in my motor.
Thanks for the good info!!

A non roller rod is 6.876 Are roller rods diffrent than non rollers other than length? That would take up alot of the slack, plus the rods in the mtor right now are kinda rough.

Snow I got the new MM&FF in the mail yesterday. In the ask Bernie section someone was asking this very question. His answer was yes it takes stock pushrods. Yes they make shims, I would try those first.

But there is a new set of stock non roller rods on ebay right now going for 15.00.
But than maybe the rocker would be off center?
I will look into the shims for sure!
Thanks again!
