I had a VERY good time today at Rock Falls also. The tech guy told me if I run in the 11s im done for the day...........so I made 6 1/8th mile passes on the motor and then 2 full 1/4 mile passes on the bottle at the end of the day.
My best 1/8th mile pass on motor was 6.87 at 102 mph, 1.61 60 ft.
My best pass on the bottle was 10.52 at 132 mph.

I was going to make a full 1/4 mile pass on the motor, but the tech guy came over on his little scooter and told me I was done for the day after he seen me run in the 10s.

All in all it was a good day, im pleased with the results of my first day on the track with the car.

Specail THANKS to Mijal, Slobby, Shane Retzke, and Cevan for all the great help, parts, and trailer. I would have never made it to the track without you guys. THANK YOU

I was joking Bromm..test days the Tech guys are on the ball, but if it was an old MUFFLER drag you would see alot of shit being ignored. I remeber the last time I went I almost wasnt able to race because my 5 PT harness was over 2 years old, but another guy was using a stock lap belt in an old chevy. And guys on motorcycles running 9's with blue jeans and tennis shoes. You couldn't have had a better day also, sounds like you all had a good time!

I Know it wasnt funny but I had to laugh when we pushed Jeremy`s car on the trailer and the drain plug on the tranny got ripped off.Actually I really hoped to see pink`s car there along with a yellow s-10. I was amazed by a `70 chevelle there that had a 540 with belt driven water pump and flex fan. Also had power steering.Ran a best of 10.02 on pump gas through exhaust I believe.

Nice times Mike!!! What size N2o were you running? I would guess the motor pass would be a 10.8(6.8 @ 102 1/8) so a 10.5 on the n2o wouldn't be much of a gain.

Thanks Mark.
I had the 225 nitrous jets in. The motor felt kind of lazy on the nitrous. Since it was my first 2 runs using the nitrous, I had it set up on the safe side.
I would really like to make some more passes at the track this fall. Is WIR having any more Wed night deals this year? Or is a RSD planned for WIR this fall?

RSD will not happen at WIR until next year, if it happens.

Its too late in the year and Dan is still tossing around the idea. He is interested but is going to do his homework first.

Where is Rock Falls in relation to Eau Claire? My girl goes to UWEC and it would be fun to hit a dragstrip. Especially when my car is done.

We all had a great time at Rock Falls I would like to go one more time possibly Oct.12 fun day anyone intrested? I had a bad cap and rotor (still running HEI) Next year I'll have msd. I want to put on my eletric fuel pump and 3:36 gears and see if I can get in the 10's. The car was breaking up on the big end might be running out of fuel. I have a carter manual pump right now. I am happy with the 60 ft time of 1.60 If I get the car done I'm planning on taking to the strip befrore we get snow

That would be cool to see your car run 10`s jeremy. It sounded bad on that one pass and it still ran 11.5 so I`m sure you will get there with ease.

thats funny FLEES, i had the same problem with my 455 and mech fuel pump, it would be fine in 1st and bottom of 2nd but in the top of 2nd and 3rd it would stumble, switched to a holley Red ELECTRIC and it was cured.

I would really like to go back to the track on Oct 12th, but I dont think they will let me run again without a rollcage. I would have to go to WIR or GLD where they dont know my car.

Oct 12th is the Wheel Standing Contest at Byron Raceway. I wouldnt miss that for anything. Lots of broken parts, smashed headers, and nitrous explosions!!

It seemed to be hooking really good. My 60 foot times were not that good (1.61) but I dont think I was spinning...........its hard to tell.
I got my best 60 ft. with 16 psi of air in my ET Streets. The more I dropped the air pressure, the slower my 60 ft. times got.

Byron is about a 2 1/2 - 3 hour drive from Point. Im not taking my car there.........just going to watch. There are alot of cars racing on that day, I would not take your car there....you would probably get only 3 passes.
But its a blast to go and watch!!!
