Anyone work with edelbrock/carter AFB carbs much? Is jetting hard to do? Would you rather jet a holley than a edelbrock?

Edelbrocks are a TON easier to tune. and you don't have to get gas all over everything either.

It just depends whoch one you are more familiar with. I had both and would stick with a Holley.

Personal preference, have tuned both Holley, and Edelbrock, both can be made to run very well. I own both and use both. On different vehicles of course!!

Do you have to get to the back of the edelbrock carb at all for anything? I am not going to have alot of room behind the carb for pulling off the rear bowl on a holley.
Thanks for the replys! I just didn't want to get a edelbrock and find out they are hard to tune. Going to have enugh problems the way it is. As far as I have seen so far no one has attempted what I am doing yet. lol

No you do all the tuning from the top. Needles and springs can be changed by removing a small cover over them, but jets you have to remove the whole top of the carb.

Are the edelbrock gaskets reusable? Or do they make reusable gaskets for the top?
I have had the top off of mine many times and keep reusing the gasket. They are very easy to tune and work great.

A few contamination spots I have to fix yet. For some reason I was being lazy with the cleaning before welding.

I think the rules say something like 2 spots per cyl. So that would set me out 8.

If you want to do a burger on that, I'll take that offer. :beerbuds:
