I am obviously looking to go faster. You know what works and what doesn't. You mentioned in another post that you ran a 12.4 on a 150 shot. What were you running N/A at that time? Was that on slicks or streets? What did you have for fuel system mods? I have a cam that I may be putting in, but am concerned about the computer not likeing it at this time. I know you have an extender but how does the car like a cam? I know the puters in these year cars aren't suppose to like overlap so I am concerned I maybe disapointed if I stick the one I have in. What rpm were you shifting at with the stock motor yet? I have my autometer setup for 5500 on the shift light but that seems a little high and reads about 5800-6000 on the factory tach. Pointers are appreciated. thanks!

It was on BFG drag radials, it was running in the mid 13's N/A @101 at that time.
I was using the Jacobs Nitrous Mastermind, had it dialed back a bit but went 113 MPH, so I picked up around 12 MPH. 60 foot times were not so great on the DR's but I was happy with 12.4
Again, this was before I got my DSS306, it was the stock engine as far as heads, cam, intake- all untouched. Probably could have gone 12.2 with ET Streets.

John at that time I was running an in-tank 190 LPH pump and the stock 24's.

Well, there's a lot of talk about this issue. I have had three performance cams in my car, one without the Extender. It ran fine with all three. I have had a Comp 2031, An AFM B-2 and a TFS Stage II. (current cam) It has a very nice idle. You rode in the car a few years ago, remember? I had the AFM B-2 when you were in the car and it idled nice. You even remarked that you liked how it sounded. When people hear the car at shows or at GLD, I get a lot of comments about how nice it sounds at idle. It's badass. :D

When I had my stock cam and ran on motor only, I would shift around 5400. Nowasays I shift around 6400. Charting shift points has shown that the car ET's the best when I do this...

Hope that answers your questions...

Yep Greg it does. My main concern was shift points I was wondering if I was shifting too high. Looks as though I choose the right point though. I am going to have to think about this NOS. I don't know that I want to have happen what happened to you on my daily driver. Not until my feet are a little more planted at least. All those cams you list are close to what I purchased so I guess I will go for it and hope it fits. Thanks for the insight.

John, you're welcome.
One thing I'd suggest if you do get a N20 system on the Cobra, get a DRY system. That upper intake is a trap for fuel puddling. One of the reasons I gave up on the juice last time was the backfiring. If you want a wet kit, then get the kind that has the intake spacer spray system or the direct-port style that uses the injector bosses. The dry system works very well. There is some debate as toit being hard on the injectors, but it's no worse then running a blower with an FMU....

I don't think you'd have to worry too much about a 75 dry shot, I think you could run that all day and not have any issues.

Like I said in my other post 75 shots are for sissy's. If I am gonna spend $450 on a nitrous kit I am going no less than 100. There are deals out there right now, it is just finding the right one. Having a sn95 car makes things much more difficult. Lots of kits on the classifieds of the corral. :) I am shopping we will see if the right one comes along at the right time. ;)
I also have heads, cam install and rockers to worry about too. Ooops, I am telling too much here. I better stop now. Before word gets out.
