View Full Version : oil in spark plug hole?

i was changn my spark plugs and the second spark plug hole in my 91 accord ex inline 4 cylinder 16 vavle engine there was oil on my spark plug. on the threads of it and then lil arch part i pulled it cleaned it and cleaned the hole with some paper towel. then i put in my new bosch platnium 2 in and then finished the other 2 and ran the car for like 4 mins then i. stoped the car and pulled out the plug where the oily one was and the new one had some oil on it.so i pulled that one cleaned it and then put it back in. does any one have any idea whats going on here. is it my O ring or what?

On top of the spark plug on the end that the plug wire connects to? If so its probably the valve cover gasket leaking.

Spark plug tubes are leaking into the plug area, when you pull the plug it gets on the threads and plug.

its on the electrodes and the threads not on top where you would wrench it out

Sounds like valve seals.
