'91 GSX

I was looking at a NICE '91 Eclipse GSX yesterday, the only problem is is that it's got an auto trans. Are the auto AWD cars considerably slower than then the stick AWD cars? Are the auto DSMs even worth screwing with?

Yes, they are much slower. Shitty turbo, cams, fuel injectors, exhaust manifold and more. You can make them go pretty good but resale on an auto sucks. Only buy it if it is really cheap.

Don't the autos also have a problem holding more than 280 - 300 HP?

hmmm.. i know there is aguy from fond du lac with a built up gsx awd auto an dthat thing flys!!!! hes gotta be around 300 hp if not more

They come with a smaller turbo (13b I believe) and the only real good thing about them is the ability to brake boost.

Why even consider an auto? Seriously you will want a 5 speed!
