They have not gotten back to him yet. Also, he talked to some outlaw guys that said the track is really scary on a full throttle run. The bumps will have to be fixed if any of the big dogs from Chicago come up. Brian has never been there so he really doesn't know the track conditions besides what other people have been telling him. Time will tell.

No VHT an speed bumps!!!!!!!!!!! Is that there way of slowing cars down or turning people to Great Lakes instead? What about the people around here we need a place to go that HOOKS like GLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why do you think some of the TOP ELIM. cars go else where safety!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WIR hooks awesome on saturdays. The track is bumpy though. They have fixed it in the past but I think the ground might be soft in that area. I am not sure. The bumps have always been barely noticeable in my cars but my cars are not in the single digits yet. 7 second street cars are not going to like a rough ride at 170 mph. I think Brian needs to make a pass down the track and decide for himself.

Mike's truck looks like it's hard to drive once he hits the bump! It never stops bouncing aftre that.

Yeah, that's what I am saying. You can see Mike's truck actually hop in one of the videos I have. If the single digit Chitown boys feel that bump you can guarantee they will never come back. I don't really know what's involved in fixing it. I don't know if it is a continuing problem or if it just needs to be addressed. Maybe Dan can shed some light on this subject next time he is on here. I would like to see RSD at WIR too. As do many other people. GLD is an hour longer drive for me than WIR is, but I still go there for every RSD.

I once heard that it is a sink hole. They have fixed it a couple times now but it just keeps sinking. I think they need to dig that whole area out and start out with a new base.

Yeah I am sure it does Red but compare the times you run to me, an I mean nothing personal. I have always hooked really hard at GLD compared to KK. At GLD if you walk on the launch pad you will walk right out of your shoes its so sticky. Its not as if they couldnt use VHT as a wright off its all part of business to bring in more business, isnt it?
when was the last time you were at either with your car. i think things have changed for the better for both places.
week after week i watch top eliminator cars make passes within .00x of their dials and those cars are mostly running 9's-low 8's. they couldn't do that with inconsistant 60 footers.
even the last wednesday night at wir was hooking like a madman. how 'bout this..........bring your car to wir this saturday so you can see for yourself. :D: if you hook you hook, if you don't i'll eat everything i just said above.

First Dan needs to get back to Brian. Then Brian has to make a couple passes down the track so he can be the judge of how good the track is. If the bumps rattle his jaw you can bet that it won't happen until it is fixed. If the fast guys don't like a bumpy ride they might not come back. Alot of the outlaw guys don't like coming there. But to each his own, I have never had an issue with the bumps.....but then again my car isn't that fast either.
I would love to see it at WIR. It would be great for us that live closer to WIR than Great Lakes. It would also be great to generate revenue for WIR. 2 RSD nights would generate enough money to pave the pits!

Yeah go figure
not to stir up shit..but i thought part of the object of drag racing was figureing out how to run the track..bumps and all. I would think it would make it more of a challenge.
