Is there any trick to stop exhaust leaks with headers? Like run 2 sets of gaskets or something like that? I had them on my truck for a year now and every month or so I'd have to tighten the bolts up which was no big deal.. but now i think the gasket on one side must be shot, all the bolts are tight and its still leaking! Its a 4.3L V6, so I'm hoping there's some nifty trick that works on 350's that I could use to stop the leaks from coming back.. :dunno: They're gibson stainless shorty headers, and the flange on them is 3/8" thick so I don't think they'd be warped or anything like that..

or get those bolts that are like rocker arm bolts, its a bolt with an alan screw in the middle of the bolt, havent' tried them but worth a shot, and i doubt two gaskets will help, anything at all ive ever seen have two gaskets usually will leak like a bitch, not sure about exhaust though

Buy good headers that have thick flanges.

The multi-layer dead soft aluminum exhaust gaskets also work very well.
