Hehehe!! Been a busy boy makin' deals. Remember that project GT I posted about? Sold it to a guy from CPONYGO for a tidy profit... I used that money to buy a 1989 LX 5.0 ragtop. Has leather, 5-speed, and we just had the top replaced last week. Stock as the day it was built, but it runs great, is quiet, gets decent gas mileage and is a really nice cruiser. No rust, but it has a kinda of crappy paint job and the wheels are fugly...

THEN I sold my CB1000 on E-bay to a local buyer, so when all is said and done, I got this 'vert to play with, including the new top, without taking a dime out of the family finances. Only bummer is, my wife wants to scarf the 'vert from me, as soon as I teach her how to drive a stick... Remember that scene from "Two Lane Blacktop" where JT is trying to teachthat chick how to drive The Chevy??

Definately a nice deal! I'm looking at a car similar to it, a 90 vert, that needs a hood. I love my imports, but have always been a softy for a Stang, especially a topless one...

Thanks Jim! It's kind of my dream car, I have wanted one since they had one at the auto show. The deal was too good to pass up, and my sweet wife said now or never because college is not far off for my son...

I'm glad to see my money is being put to good use Greg! They have a few of them on the lot right down the road from me and I took a look at them. I don't particularly like the hood bulge for the ram air, but otherwise they are sweet cars. So here is the question, how long is it gonna stay stock? And then how soon before it is faster than the cobra? And then how long before it is faster than your friend Doug, now that you both have modulars?
