What is a resonable price for a complete overhaul? im looking for new 3.45's, bearings, posi(dont know what kind yet) and weld up the axle tubes. Stuff im still not sure on is lca relocation bracets(plan on lowering springs soon), and new axles so i can get rid of the c-clips. im not sure if i need a new carrier for the gears as ive hear lots of different responses on this, i have 2.73 in it now.

btw what is nolte's, it sounds very familiar
nolte's is the biggest towing company in oshkosh.
i don't know how much eveything you want done is going to cost. you might wanna check for your self how much all the parts will cost you before you talk to scott. you might be able to get those parts cheaper than him and you might not.
i think it's roughly 300 just to set up the ring and pinion but call around to get prices.

There's nothing there that you couldn't do yourself. Sure, the cost of the tools to set up the R&P will be about as much as installation, but then you'll know how to do it, and have the tools for future use. Just do some research and take your time. I did a complete overhaul of the 10 bolt in my Yukon this past winter ( and I mean EVERYTHING was replaced) and it really wasn't that hard, WITH THE RIGHT TOOLS.
Granted, it's very intimidating, but it's not that bad.

I'd say so. A few years ago when the rearend blew up in my Suburban and I was stuck up at school, I was charged about $250 for installation, and I supplied my own gears, install kit, LSD, etc. I vowed never to pay for something that I could do myself again.
