Well, put the new converter in Eric's car. It only went 3500 on the transbrake. Which isn't all that bad I guess. But it did rev right to 3500 and stay there. The last converter reved right to 2000 and slowly climbed to 3000. So anyway, I holeshoted it in the parking lot last night. It ran awesome! Today I took it for a road trip to make sure everything worked and make sure the tranny didn't get hot. Everything checked out ok. Shut the bitch off and then restarted the cocksucker and backed up. Put it in gear to go forward and the stinky slut wouldn't move. Absolutely no forward gears. Pissed me right the ☺☺☺☺ off!!!!!!!!!!!! The ☺☺☺☺er never slipped either. There were some shavings in the pan and they were black. The fluid was bright as red just like it came out of the bottle. WHAT THE ☺☺☺☺KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK?
Time to take it to the junk yard and park it next to all of the mopars..........then go and buy a CHEVY!!!!!!!

i would send it back and have fred loosen it. if it's not what he said it was supposed to be. he did that for me, but it still isn't enough. i think i should have had talked to precision or someone big to begin with.
if you can get it out in time we could probably get sparrow to take it down there for you. he leaves tommorrow morning and will be back here next week tuesday.

We didn't take it out yet. I took the pan and valve body off so I could see the hard parts inside. We will pull the tranny out when we have time. We have a busy schedule this week. Gotta shut down early for RSD tomorrow and then friday have to shut down early for races in Oregon. I am going to send it back to them and have it loosened up. It is really hard to get an accurate stall when you don't have any horsepower numbers to go by. I don't care what company you go with, if you don't supply the info, they can only shoot from the hip. I made a rough estimate for horsepower and I must have been off a bit. We might go with a whole new set up now.........306 is just not enough cubes:D: :D:

Im happy im not the only one................I havent had a tranny to work like its suppose too yet in my car. Gets frustrating when I change my tranny more than my oil.
Sorry Darrell, I dont mean to pick on you. Hopefully you can get that car up and running strong again soon.
Did you get that converter built for nitrous use??
My converter stalls low on the motor (3800-4000) ....but its built to work better with nitrous. On the nitrous it will flash at a higher rpm...(5000-5200). If my converter flashed at 5000 on the motor, when I would use nitrous it would then flash too high and be out of my ideal power range.
Im not sure if I like it this way.......it doesnt seem as responsive on the motor as my 4500 converter did........but should work much better on nitrous.

Nitrous will add 1000 rpm to the stall. It is built for that. I wanted 4000-4500 stall speed which would be around 5000-5500 on juice. I think the new engine will be enough to bring the stall up to where it should be.

sounds like you broke the pump, anyay, ive had good luck with GER, thunderbolts, they have free replacement and if you want to trade in during the year for a different stall you get 75% credit towards the new one

Its not the pump. Its the forward clutch packs. Same thing that happened the last time it blew up. Now I just have to figure out why it is failing. Must be a pressure loss somewhere. I need to get it apart so I can examine the drum. I think there might be a crack under the piston.

Darrell....if where ever you took it too just asked for HP and thats it. Send it somewhere else. There is so much more in the mix than hp and tq....they should be asking for rod length, stroke, weight of the car, gears, tires, cam selection all parts of it, intake, nos or not, head flow capabilities....maybe they asked this.
Reason being my buddies 358 with a little bitty 3 inch stroke makes 780 some hp naturally aspirated. You obvisously wont have the same type convertor for a 780 hp big block.
For a good convertor work sheet the stuff they should be asking go to www.bteracing.com
they are they only ones that have been able to get me a convertor that stalls where it should and wins rounds consistently. Hipster couldnt do it, joke! TCI couldnt do it
179 bucks they will refreshen any convertor and adjust it to your specs if they can, obviously if you need an 8 inch they wont be able to make a 10 inch work as well.

DO NOT PUT A GER CONVERTOR IN ANYTHING!
they are the biggest POS convertor company on the market, good thing you havent hadnt had any problems, they wont help you if you did. I have never personally had one but to go any drag racing only board and bring their name up and you will get countless bad replies on it.
