Dan,

i think it was a great decision for you guys to try this out this year. i think it will get better and better the more people find out about it. do you think it would be possible sometime to do some clocks off runs off a flag or something similar for the "street racers" if there is a demand for it? i have heard that gld's thursday program is a pretty big thing down there, and they bring in a pretty big spectator crowd.

i'm really into the bracket races, but alot of people that come on the site are into the heads-up street race thing. check out some of the videos in the videos section. if stud and mike could get a huge crowd like that out on some county hwy imagine how many would go to watch races where there is no chance of the police busting it up?

I myself have never been to a lights out race. but it sounds like a lot of fun.
I will definetly put some thought in to it.
Is this something that you street racers would want to do on Sat. nights after the bracket race, starting at 11:00 pm and running till 2:00/3:00 pm or do you think that a Fri. night not falling on a high school night at normal hours?
How about during the week from 4to 10
Do you light the drag strip or leave it dark ?

Give me some fedback if you could on what street racers are interested in.

I would say do it on a non-high school night otherwise I think it would kind of be a hassle getting everyone out and in and everything in between events. During the week would also be nice, pretty much any days I think there would be a good turnout. As for the lights, I would say leave a few on if that is possible, maybe one at the return road, one at the start, and one at half track. Also, I think it would be cool if the racers could choose between having a flagged start, pro tree, or sportsman. And the times could be displayed if the racers wanted to. Also, if they want a timeslip they could get their own individual one, not where both racers times are shown.

Sounds like a great idea. Im all fro it.....and im sure others in this area would like it too. Friday nights would probably work best..............during the week is hard for most people because of work the next day. Leave all the lights on so the spectators can see the cars racing better. Would be nice to get a timeslip but the display board be shut off.
And dont be shy with the VHT.

That would be something I would go to. And for VHT thats a must look at GLD you will walk right out of your shoes its so sticky. I would drive to GLD just for the sake of the traction. If you start using more VHT I think you would get alot more cars to begin with any night.

* What are others people view on the VHT at KK? Lets here?

* KK could be as big as GLD if only a few things would change?

the only time i ever have had a traction problem this year at WIR was when the jets were there, but that is understandable. the track was hooking real good last saturday.

I would love to see an event like this at WIR. all you guys from up north need to spread the word and get your guys on here to give some feedback so dan can see how much interest there will be and how big of a thing this is up by you.

Look at how big C&M is I am sure it would be really BIG an to see some real street cars battling it out with no traction excuses or you you left first, that would be awsome an close for alot off people in Central Wiscionsin.

I think a set up like RSD would be a good idea. Dan, you and TuffEnuff (Brian) should get in contact. Brian is in charge of the RSD program. GLD is a full house on RSD nights. I think if it alternated fridays with the high school program it would work best. Leave track lights on but clock displays off to keep ET privacy for the street race crowd. Timeslips but no clocks. Run off the lights on a sportsman or pro tree or run off a flag man.

You can't have timeslips if the other guy gets your time.
