I thought it was funny. So that makes 8. What I thought was even funnier was the source of the "joke". The one who says "do as I say not as I do." The one who talks trash, but then will never back it up. The one who comes up with an excuse for everything(just look at the reply as to why you attended the RSD listed above). And finally the one who is asked a question with a simple yes or no answer, avoids answering the question for 3+ pages of replies, comes up with excuses but no answer, then finally gives in and gives the simple yes or no answer(which was no). Sorry Abot I don't take handouts. Read my sig and then you might understand why more people don't say what I do. I personally don't give a damn what anyone else thinks about me so I speak my mind. As far as your excuse about RSD. It is typical Abot. "Well I don't go to the track unless I have nothing else to do." Someone who has a new job to start early the next morning doesn't stop at the track on their way home when they "only go to the track when there is nothing else to do." There is obviously something else to do, like making sure you get enough sleep so your alert and at attention so you don't look like a big dumb idiot in front of your new employer the first day(I know how hard this is for you abot), which you readily admit to in your previous statement. Stool I was standing on had a loose bolt that decided to come out sending me to the floor while doing a 180 with my arm fully extended(about 10-12ft fall for the arm with all of my weight landing on it). A plate, 10 screws and 2 months in arm protection of some sort and I had a usable arm again. Almost 2 months after that I am finally starting to get some strength back in it.

And to further bolster his excuse he will tell you it is built to drive and take corners at speed. He even takes it to the SCCA Solo 2(or what ever your local one is abot) event to see what he can wring(or abot speak ring) out of it. This seems to contridict everything abot says since he "doesn't have a hard on to (w)ring the piss out of his car."

Now Abot I am gonna refresh your memory a little bit. You stated you didn't want to race your car to others because it was a street car, which is when I stepped up to the plate and said I am building mine the same way so put up or shut up. This is when you gave me the run around about not racing. I even offered to make it a Car Craft type event that would have provided the car with the best balance to be the winner. YOU STILL DECLINED a race that was what your car is set up for and you preach. You claim you have no interest in how fast your car is, but up until I called you out you would quote how much faster your car could be because this person had this and that done and this other person had this and these are proven mods to your type car. Blah blah blah Abot. Actions speak louder than words. Your actions show how much you contradict yourself. Bottom line is Abot you have no balls to back up your words. And if you notice, while your dreaming of how you need penis enlargement, the State of Fl does. Back up the talk or shut up. This thread is about smack talk and the respect that goes with it. Abot started a thread about D CON whining, thinking it was funny, that D CON was one of the guys in his little circle. My sources tell me and posts make it quite obvious this is not true.
I am a believer that everyone deserves a certain amount of respect as a human being, no questions asked. From there you can either gain more respect or loose respect and have to gain it back. In order to smack talk with your "friends" you have to have respect from them. When you don't, which is what happens to when you talk the smack and then don't back it up when called on it, that respect is lost and the opprotunity to continue to talk smack is lost. If you want to be "one of the guys," like Abot so desperately does, you need to keep that modem of respect, which means when you shove your foot in your mouth you find a way to pull it out and save face, or swallow it and eat crow but retain the respect for trying. Neither of which has happened with Abot, reducing his credibility and ability to talk smack.

See here is the difference between you and Abot. I hope you don't mind me using the example. You add humor to your smack in admitting you know little or nothing, instead of boasting what it could do if you were to actually run it.

It depends on your beliefs. Tech means nothing if your willing to go out on a deserted back road and line them up. The car not moving for many moons means nothing as long as when it does move you back up the words you said while it didn't move.

lol, I was just doing some studying for school and the ole quote of "the only stupid question is the unasked one" bit came up. That particular class has to do with success and part of success is critical thinking which means questioning everything. It is the only way you can continue to learn. I didn't make the rules, so these aren't set in stone and someone else can see them in a little different light. All I know is when I talked smack back when I had a really slow car and didn't go out and back that smack up, I was ridiculed like no tommorrow. When I tried to back up the smack and did not succeed in it I at least kept the respect of those I talked smack to and had another chance later on to redeem myself(usually failing again). Smack talk has no written rules they are basicly a code of honor.

Just think of the whole topic this way. "If you talk the talk you need to walk the walk." I think we are all familiar with this quote and know that when you talk and don't walk you loose the respect of those you talked the talk too.

Just so you know dcon i built my car to cruise and goto shows to stare at. I didn't build my car to goto the track. I did put some performance parts on it because i didn't want it to be a total dog.
I put a lot of miles on my car this summer. I drive it everyday as a regular driver as long as its not raining. YOu should know that you've seen me driving around a lot. Just so you know dcon i built my car to cruise and goto shows to stare at. I didn't build my car to goto the track. I did put some performance parts on it because i didn't want it to be a total dog.
I put a lot of miles on my car this summer. I drive it everyday as a regular driver as long as its not raining. YOu should know that you've seen me driving around a lot. I built mine to drive and thats what i do, you built yours to goto the track and thats what you do, but you say yours is a street car then drive it on the street sometimes. YOu can pick on everyone else about not going to the track but leave me out of it because i never said i built mine to race.

Another neutral party who should be staying out of the conversation. I made no such generalization about all dump truck drivers. I said around here we have two types and that I felt abot probably fell into one of those two groups, not naming which one I thought it was. Why does comparing one person to the ones around here mean I am generalizing throughout the entire world? What do you know about dump truck drivers around here? What difference does it make when I am wrong about abots profession? It still doesn't explain why abot can use my profession in a derogatory manner in calling me a demeaning name.

What I can do is apologize for stooping to abot's level by trying to use his profession in a derogatory way. I should have known better than to stoop to his level. Once again abot your not paying attention. If you remember way back on page 3 or 4 I stated I didn't give a damn who thought what about me. So whether or not they agree with me is not the issue. Here in lies the problem. You didn't read what I wrote, you read what you wanted me to be saying. Look at it again. I said around here. "Around here" would imply locally that dump truck drivers fall into two groups. If you knew anything about our local dump truck drivers you would know that the county board has had to pass several ordinaces concerning their behavior to insure public safety on the streets. I even mentioned why one of the groups might be considered white trash with them parking their trucks in the front of their house every evening(I counted at least 3 trucks within a mile of each other parked, bed up over the weekend). So when I compare one person with people around here(that would be locally) I am not comparing that one person to everyone else in the world, nor generalizing the entire group. I only speak of the people I have experience with no one else. And when I am regularly surrond by dump trucks any time i go somewhere, I often times wonder if some of the ones that look to be older than me are safe to be on the road and if they can stop quickly enough behind me when approaching a yellow or red light. When you have one behind you and two next to you there isn't much of an option for an escape route. I was very careful with my wording, look at the post again if you like and notice it is unedited. And once again that was comparing abot to our local truck drivers. We have already established abot is not a dump truck driver and that I am sorry for stooping to his level by using a profession to call someone names. So why don't you get over your little thing about dump trucks and move on to something more productive. Like excuses for my next thread. :)
