Miracle Grow will be needed for the wisconsin people to soak their ball sacks in on July 2nd.

You should place the order NOW!

LOL!

What the hell happened to the HUGE crowds everybody's been telling me would show up to RSD@WIR??

I am taking a BUNCH of heat from the Chitown Boys...NOT *ALL* chitown racers are in the 9's ya know!

and P.S.

STOP TELLING PEOPLE WHAT YOU FREAKIN RUN FOR ET'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

....and dont ask what others run either!

1 more thing....when racing off the flag THERE IS *NO* RED LIGHT! (cheating is a part of street racing and is LEGAL unless the other guy doesnt chase ya!)

Other than that.... we had 100 cars,200 spectators. (up from last time but, STILL NOT ENOUGH! Lets get the word OUT THERE!! Then FOLLOW up and make sure people SHOW UP)

and if I had a dollar for every time I heard some cheddar head said "Next time I'm gonna...." or "SOMEDAY I'm gonna...." or "as soon as I get my car done I'm gonna...." or "I can get a hundred people here...."

I'd be rich!

GET the shit done NOW!!! *GET OUT OF YOUR HOUSE* and go spread the word VERBALLY! (handing a flyer while explaining wouldn't be a bad idea either)

Let's go folks we've already missed TWO RSD's there....it's MORE fun when there's MORE people!

Now, who's gonna help?

I cant do this my self. YOU guys are gonna have to GET off your friken sofa....go OUT to the local hangouts....and tell the WHOLE world about whats going on!

I have heard "stories" of these (supposed) HUGE turnouts for C&M nat's

Well? where the hell ARE these people??? how do we contact them? I have heard (from several people) that people up there DONT have computers....well, that kills it for ME since I am from Chicago. It's up to YOU guys to get people to SHOW up (key word: SHOW UP)

Other than that.... thanks to all who DID show up! see you at the grove JUNE 17th!

Did anybody get any video of my car going down the track? :mxmas:

That is pretty funny, kinda defeats the whole point unless youre BS-ing your times.....I noticed a couple guys with dial in kits in their windows. Nice visual effects....

Someday maybe my car will be done, hopefully in time for next year's first RSD, though I doubt I'm gonna pass tech. I can still hang out, its almost as fun watching everything unfold!

For the record, I was the only person that voted "no" for RSD@WIR....

Give it some more time, people are just starting to get their shit on the road.

Hey guys,I know this question has been asked alot but...........at WIR for RSD I notoiced as long as the race was run by the tree, you got a time slip.Is this the same at GLD? Last year I thought you had to in the time run lanes to even get a time slip.I did that and only got two passes. What I`m saying is I`m 99% sure I could have my car at the june 17th rsd but with a whole new combination, I would like to get some time slips before I get conned into a race.I need to get the bugs worked out before I start runnin anyone. If not, I`ll just wait for WIR again.

here are a couple thoughts
1. WIR has looked the same for the last how many efen years.
there are alot of people out there from this area who won't go there beacause they consider it a s--t hole. especially the UN-paved pit are with all the dust, gravel, and dirty cars/ rock chips that result
While Rockfalls is consided to be not as sticky, it is a much nicer facility that is just 15 minutes farther.
2. as for the C&M, most of the people who go out there have no business out there. its just that the whole area knows about it. its something cool right in there back yard they go to check out.
3. if there are people from the rapids area who have cars to race, most of them know they own piles they know could't trust to drive or race at WIR because they'd break down
or
where they live they think they are KING SHIT, and are afraid to get beat by other in the big bad world

abot316

EAu Claire WI
about an hour west of the Wi MN state line
much like GLD is the place for most of the chicago guys\
Rockfalls is where all of the twin cites guys go
the turn out is primarily good quality, well built real/mainly driver street cars
there is also a good bit of diversity in make model and era of build

i know there is quite a bit of ricer in Wausau, a city of 70000 30 miles north on I39 because of the hi asian population
soory to say, but if numbers at WIR RSD go up, it going to be ricers/imports

FURO RACECRAFT

They have alot of cars very similiar to the cars that run RSD@GLD. Most of them come from the cities. I have never met a unsocial person at that track. If they sprayed it that track would be awsome I believe. Good shut down an you drive on black top everywhere an park in the grass for the pit area.

Just about everyone I asked to race, had to race for money. I race for fun not money.

Yes the pits suck at WIR. I don't care with the CRX. But if I had a nice car I wouldn't go there. The entire pit doesn't have to be paved to be nice. Just some lanes paved out would be great!

It is a good time! Just wish I didn't have to put up 20.00 to race the cars I would like to race.

I don't want to always be this way but..

I think you DO like to be that way, your reputation preceeds you.

Why in the hell should I go out of my way at all to promote your event when I have pay to get in.

Because *IF* you were a TRUE street racer you would understand how important it was to NOT go to jail and still race they way YOU want to race.

Not to mention, having the SAME event that GLD has at a track thats CLOSER to your house.

PLUS, it is a proven fact that WHEN the turnout is good....The *action* and quality of races/excitement follows suit.

i showed up, brought someone with me and both paid 12 bucks just to watch.

I hope you and your friend had a good time ANNNND I hope it was WORTH the $24 the two of you paid to get in. Again, the MORE people we have ...the MORE it will be *worth* PAYING $12 to see it and $25 to be IN it. (Another reason to *help* me get the word out)

Sorry Tuff but you get on here and start yelling at people about not doing your job for you?

I am NOT yelling NOR am I upset. I am stating ,what I believe, is FACT. A LOT of people told me that racers/spectators would come in DROVES if I started this at WIR. I will admit that people are coming....BUT, *SOME* of the HARD CORE people that race at that track HAVENT been bringing their cars with them and the *street racing* has been kinda weak.I know its a start (I totally get that) but, in order for the chitown people to continue driving 200+ miles... the ACTION needs to go up OR they will stop coming EVEN *IF* the action improves later. THEN getting them back will be VERY difficult.

as far as DOING MY JOB FOR ME??? Puh-leezzze, you have NO freakin' idea how much effort, hours, blood, sweat, tears, cash investment, miles on my truck, hours of thought, organization, politics, begging, pleading, bac k breaking prep work, nervousness watching the weather reports, answering questions, surfing the internet, working out issues such as parking, lodging, track prep, working around peoples work schedules, dealing with owners of the tracks, and all around STRESS I put into this thing!!! (Not to mention the time away from my family)

Do you pay to get in? i heard you get a kick back on it too.

Well,NO I dont pay CASH to get in....I just put in a bazillion hours making it happen. I think I have earned the right to comp myself in.

as far as a kickback? I wouldnt call it that. I am IN the business of PRODUCTION/ Producing events. www.tsaproductions.net

It's what I DO for a living. I am self employed and I do NOT have "side jobs" EVERYTHING I do goes through my company. The TRACK is in the business of racing to make MONEY. *I* am in the business of PRODUCTION to do the same. RSD takes up a LOT of my time (Not just on race day) I probably spend 40 hours a week JUST on the internet *doing* what I am doing right now. IF I paid myself by the HOUR? MY "cut" of RSD would NOT be enough to make it REALLY worth while. I do it MOSTLY for the love of the sport. but, I STILL have bills to pay. NOT to mention the fact that I re-invest a lot of the money BACK into RSD....RSD STAFF T-shirts alone cost me $500.

. (1)I'm not personally attacking you like some may think

(2)but am just curious why I should go out of my way at all to promote your event when i don't get anything for it.

(3) Do you work for free?

(4)And just for the record I saw just about everyone from this sight there. Maybe not with there cars but at least they camme.

1. It sure sounds like an attack on some level

2.If you had a good time then YOU DID/WOULD get something for your efforts. IF everybody helped..this thing would be a BLAST (just like at GLD)

3.No, I do not WORK for free. but, telling people about RSD aint THAT much work either. If THAT was all I had to do I wouldnt need everybody's help.
I am planning a trip to a BUNCH of places around Middle WI to spread the word. I am WORKING my ass off to get people to come. I am asking the people here to HELP! It will benefit EVERYBODY when the crowds come out.

4. That has NOT gone un-noticed. But the cars need to come out soon! otherwise, whats the point?

Just for the record. there are PLENTY of other things I can do to make MORE money than I do at RSD. I do Sound systems, Lighting,Staging, Rigging, Electrical Distribution...AND I am a licensed Electrical Contractor who specializes in 480 volt industrial work. I do not NEED RSD to survive. and I MOST certainly do NOT NEED to drive 200 miles to race.

I do this for the love of street racing!!!

I hope that answered your questions.

My opinion on this:

Nobody needs to do anything. Nobody needs to show up. There are plenty of other days to race at WIR. However, think about these other race days at WIR. Saturday/Sunday races are bracket races. On bracket days you will get at least 3 runs. If you win some rounds, you might get another run or two. One thing is for sure on a bracket day, you get to listen to a boring monotone anouncer (no offense Danny!) all day. Bracket days are fun if you like bracket racing. Now we will move on to wednesday nights. Test and tune/Grudge racing. AKA lots of radial tire imports and no VHT on the track. Have fun! Dan says he is willing to spray the track if a crowd of faster cars show up. I agree with him on that, why spray the track for 14 second radial tire cars? But once again there is the "tell people and bring a crowd" issue that more people than just Jeff expressed concern about. Now we will move on to Friday night "Beat the Heat". Show up, make 3 passes and go home. When you are done with your 3 passes, you are done racing for the night.

Now lets move on to Real Street Drags. Traction! Lots of it. If you were anywhere near the starting line, you would have seen the VHT strung out between the tires and the track like glue. TuffEnuff on the mic: Whether you love him or hate him as a person, the one thing everyone can agree on is he is an excellent announcer. He keeps the crowd entertained. Lots of runs: Lots of runs Lots of runs Lots of runs!!!!! Go up and make a pass when you want to. No waiting for your bracket class to be called. Set up a street race. Spot a car out. Go off a flag. Name a day other than RSD at WIR that you can set up a street race.

In all honesty, I could give two shits who shows up at RSD because I am going to get alot of runs in either way. But I would like to see alot of people show up just to mix things up and to be able to meet new people. I would like to be able to race more than just the guys that frequent this board every time I go to RSD.

alot of confusion was it said you would be street racing , as in you had to set up races, if people knew it was non-stop runs it would get more people there, even if they are test and tuning.. get them there, let then do there tuning stuff... then later in the evening hit them up to race!
