Went to Oshkosh today to drop my transmission off for the 2nd time. I was stuck on Hwy 41 at a dead stop for 40 minutes!!!
What a joke...........
A semi rolled over in the middle of the highway and traffic was backed up for at least 15 miles............it didnt help that it was at 4:30 on a Friday night either.
That kind of stuff drives me INSANE:mad:

I did notice you had the semi moved fast. But for some reason the traffic was still moving at about 2 mph for a long ways.

Chicago isn't bad, you just gotta know your way around. Plenty of side streets. Come down here where there is an exit every 4 miles, if your lucky.

exit every 4 miles is alot of exits. Try Nebraska, Oklahoma, Utah and other similar states. I know there is one area in Nebraska on I70 there is a stretch of 150 + miles without an exit. Some of those states you really have to know where you are so you don't run out of gas.

no kidding i ve been through those states the only exits you see are for the farmers to get out into there pastures to pick up cattle

We got them down here too. I was on my way to the track last thursday when the car decided to die on me at 80 in the fast lane, just as I had gotten pass a nice big 18 wheeler. I had a big dodge 4x4 breathing down my neck too. Do you have any idea what it feels like to see your tach at 0 on the interstate in that situation 45 minutes from home? And yep it happened between one of the longer intervals, about a 20 miles streach with no exits. Luckly I babied the car home in 3 hours of stop and start driving. Worse part was the Road ranger passed me as I was pulling over. Didn't stop either. Running good now though. :bna

You can put a fogger on an EFI car. No different than a carb car. Direct port........yum yum!!!

I have traction problems now, I don't need more with even more N2O. SO I guess I will stick with my little plate. :)

My plate kit is enough to split the block with the heads I have to go on, so I don't think I need a fogger for my daily driver. I kinda want to keep this orginal block in one piece should I ever want to "restore" the car. Tires are definately high on the list right now. Fish tailing 2nd gear has become a regular thing.

Actually the crank will go first. 302 cranks are notorious for breaking with high cylinder pressure. Regarding fogger systems, they are safer than plate systems because of the direct port. And I was told today by a nitrous guru buddy that foggers actually shock the tires softer than a plate system. I wonder how much juice a stock 302 crank will handle...........I guess we will have to find out on Erics car!

CarCraft ran a 400 shot through a bone stock Chevy 350 before they broke the ring lands, and that was only due to them purging the system through the engine at too low and RPM. I would guess it would take quite a bit with the factory forged pistons even.

Yeah but when the crank goes, it usually takes the block with it. Look at Gregs engine from when the blower was on it. Once the heads go on and the bottle is attached I will be looking at a similar power level. I am hoping that I have things in order enough that by next spring I can just throw a new shorblock in it. Then I can add a little displacement, run a larger cam as I won't have valve clearance problems, and will be able to save the old block from damage. DSS 331 for $2500 is a pretty good deal. ;)
