Jim

never sat down for more than 5 minuets. and only got to talk to sparrow for probably less than that. sometimes this job really wears on a guy.

night consisted of:

1 cell extraction.
1 placement in full bed restraints.
1 investigation of which inmated blacked out a security camera.
3 cell moves of the same inmate. (claims that he'll be the 1st inmate in the stae to kill a CO) he really is bad ass too.
2 vital checks of inmate we put in be restraints.
4 visits to escort and then (take care of when done) we don't have VR officers.
stand chow.
...........................................you get the point...............

it just SUCKED!!!!!!! tonight. to top it off it was HOT.

but to make it better. i got to ride my Scoot. home, and i get to check out this site, and drink beer. #4 already since 10:30.

Imagine that you actually did some work while you were at work! Some of us only dream of having a day, or week, like that once in a while instead of all the time. And then a 3 day weekend to top it off? Yeah I would take that.

Well Jim it can't be any worse than 100+ people(including a party of 32 people at one time) showing up for 2 dinners for $22, asking for everything the way they want it, and then complaining about everything. Think of each of your inmates as the person that owns the business that you work for and have each one of them tell you how to run it and then you will begin to see the the issues I deal with everyday. You ever have 400 bosses?

I agree with Jim. My wife is a correctional officer too. I know the job can be pretty "shitty" at times. There is alot more to that job than people think. I could never do it. I would become an inmate real quick. I have a lot of respect for anyone in the field of corrections.

Jim I don't mean to take anything away from your job, I am sure it is not easy, but we never have time to sit down. We also can not take weekends off as that is our busy time, most places are family owned so there are no benefits, and until you get into the middle management area, like I am, you get paid hourly and it isn't very much per hour. I made less than 30K a year managing a kitchen that did 1.5 million a year in sales, never had a weekend off, worked 70+ hours a week, and was happy if I got 2 days off every other week. To make what you guys do, have the benefits you get, and work the hours that you do, I would trade that any day of the week. The other night, in middle of our rush we had a customer come in and want some pesto. Now pesto can be made fairly quickly, if you have the ingredients, but when you don't and then the customer wants something else, and then you have 10 other people that also ask for something you basicly are getting shit on, fortunately it just doesn't smell. Money makes people very different, very demanding and when they pay what they do to join the club, they expect even more. The amount that people pay just to get into our club is almost enough to pay my salary for a year, and that doesn't include the yearly dues and food and beverage minimums. Too much money can be a bad thing.

WI is always hiring. Today a female guard got the shit kicked out of her. Broken teeth smashed face and all.

I guess if I only made $30K and worked 70+ hours a week with hardly any days off I would be sticking my foot in someone's ass and finding a new job. I guess that is probably why you are where you are now.

That would be correct Darrell. I am making close to 10K a year more here for being 2nd in charge than I was being the head honcho up there in a place of equivalent size. Top that off with no state income tax and my quality of life is much better here.

I just heard about that. That sucks. She is a hottie too.........I have heard. She is lucky. Rumor has it he was trying to break her neck but she rolled her hole body with it. No cameras, no witnesses............that ☺☺☺☺er should have gotten the beat down of his life after they got her out of there. Things like this are why I could not work that job. I would have killed the ☺☺☺☺er for doing that shit to her.

I heard there was some deal with him where no other prisons want him...........not sure what the whole story is though.

Jim

The scum bags goal is to kill a female, he has life in prison already.
About 2 years ago he beat the hell out of a female nurse also.
This is the reason we should have the DEATH penalty in WI.
All he gets out of this is more years added on to life................
