Ok, here's my question.

How well will a PowerTrax LockRite hold up in a 30 spline 12 bolt under a pickup? I have the opportunity to pick up a slightly used LockRite for $175 shipped and I just may do it to rid my truck of the one-wheel-peel until I can graduate college and build a bulletproof rear-end.

I do have some experience with LockRights, but not with a street application. My truck weighs a porky 4500# with me and a half tank of gas, and my engine is a pretty much stock 350. Tires in the rear are 275/50/15. Will it hold? I have a buddy that rounded off the dog-tooth gears on the Lockright in the rear of his 302 powered F-150 on 31's, that's why I'm worried.

What do you think?

I've had one in my truck for the past 5-6 yrs now and it works great. just make sure your brakes are adjusted right in the back because in the winter if one tire is on the snow and the other is on the pavement and you hit your brakes hard you'll know it's back there because it a make a loud whining noise and then it will start catching and the truck will jump alittle. also make sure that you get it installed right otherwise it will not work work the greatest.
