I have been stuck running 8psi seeing no one makes a resistor plug that is colder then what I am already running except Brisk and I'm not paying $96 for a set of plugs. Because I am getting flamed for sandbagging, I figure I might as well turn up the wick. The only problem is a non-resistor plug sends off too much RFI and cancels my cam sensor signal and makes the engine die. My latest brain storm is to run a non-resistor plug and stock spark plug wires. Right now I am running MSD wires that Ohm 26.2 and if I google ohms on stock ls1 spark plug wires I find people posted that they are around 360. Before I waste money buying plugs and wires, I figured I would get some opinions as to whether it should work or not. The resistor plugs ohm 5 ohms so I would think I would have less RFI.:dunno:

Not when you change them a couple times a night. Also not very good reviews on them.

Resistor plugs are 5,000 ohms..........As long as the MSD wires have suppression core and are not solid core I dont think it will change anything. That is unreal that there are not more resistor plugs available, especially for the LS engines. What plug are you currently using?

Pretty sure I have the problem solved. Drove it 8 miles with non-resistor plugs and no problems.

Resistor plugs are 5,000 ohms..
I needed to look at the meter closer. It was 5K.

How did you fix it?

Ancient Chinese secret. No really, I changed out the cam sensor wires for wires that are shielded. I don't know why FAST wouldn't have done this when they made the harness.

That's good that it was a simple fix.

x2......Holleys harness was shielded, however the Fast distributor harness was not.......They should address that issue.

Simple fix but a pain in the ass to diagnose.
More spots for everyone now that you have shielded wires!!
