i was driving today and my belt popped off. (crank, fan, alternator)
i looked and my temp gauge i just put in and it read 260-270 ish when i caught it. pulled in to a lot and let it cool off.
ran to the nearest autozone to buy a wrench to loosen the alt so i could put the belt back on. it ran fine for a bit but has now developed a hesitation. it sounds like its missing on a plug.
plugs are new but im not sure if the heat could have messed one up and i cant check the rear ones on each side of the block cause of the headers.

im really hoping one of the head gaskets didnt blow but with the temp it got to i wouldnt be suprised. any way to be certain it is or isnt a gasket?

Check cylinder leakdown on all cylinders. Make sure one is not substantially higher percentage than the others. Go over plug wires and check for burnt ones as you pull the plugs to do the leakdown test.

i would love to do that but the lack of not having anything to do is holding me back. thanks for the tips though.

it doesnt over heat anymore so i dont think its the gasket, wires look look good....is there any way it could have killed a plug?

it miss fires from the passenger side but i dont have a wrench to get at the rear plugs to check them

You don't have a wrench to remove a spark plug......:roflmao

Sell it and go buy a new car with a warranty.

Run it and warm it up, then take a bottle of water and dribble some on the header primaries near the head. You should be able to see the difference if there's a dead hole.

That's a good idea.
