Should you run a cooler in front of the radiator and then through the radiator to the trans, or just have one in front of the radiator skipping the trans??

in frony of the radiator, and do not run it thru the radiator. use it a stand alone device

Yeah, don't let the radiator heat up the trans fluid for you.
