Got a new 1992 GT today...

Pretty awful, eh? Makes you want to puke. People who treat cars this way should be banned from motor vehicle ownership.

Anyway.... Here's the fruits of my labor. Yes, this is the same car.

There's actually a shine on this car now. It needs some work, no question, but as it sits, I would not sell her for 2 grand...

It's got some rattles and some problems, but they are fixable. It has potential. My buddy Fritz thinks I got a steal. I feel like I should give the guy I bought it from some more money. If the car was cleaned up like I have done, I would have paid $1500 or more, no questions asked.

Not too shabby for a day's work and $1000!!!!

LOL... Jim, I had to move on it. When I went to look at it, I knew the next guy to show up would have bought it.... It looks so much beter now then it did when I went to see it, I think I could ask 2 grand and get it pretty easily... :D

I don't know what I am going to do with it yet. Still might sell it, don't have a lot of space with 3 other vehicles....

Can't beat that price Greg. We had fun with the lx for a while, but it was just too many cars, and we sold it to Tim. Looks like I might be buying a neon now to replace it and the beater.:(:

Well, I got some more goodies for it tonight- The missing A/C accumulator, a set of underdrive pullies and the power trunk is now functional. At night, this car actually passes for a "looker"

Parts I have assembled from scavenging boneyards and from friends:

BBK Shorty headers
Saleen underdrive pullies
Polished EGR spacer
Almost new radiator
All the interior pieces I need to mint it out
All parts for A/C including an almost new condenser
Jacobs Ignition
I have the wheels brought back to life to the point where I really only need to replace one wheel, the other three are still good.

Do you just have the Jacobs box or do you have the Jacobs coil too? If you don't have a coil, I have a Jacobs coil that I will donate. Let me know.

Looks good. man you got one hellof a good deal,that would sell for about $2500 or more down here in Iowa the way you bought it. gudging from those after pics you could get about $4500 easaly down here. there isnt that meny stangs around here. the only ones you ever see are in realy good shape or in a junk yard!:shft:

Nice car! There is an 87 GT near me with t-tops and the whole 9 yards, some minor mods, and never seen winter. Body is awesome, but interior needs help. guy wants 2500 for it and I thought that would be a steal!
