it all comes down to anything else in life...how much money do you want to spend. I would consider selling mine if your interested. Its 28 ft and is loaded with alum cabinets, awnings, finished interior, halogen outside lights, interior lights....etc very few miles.....let me know. And yes you can buy a new cheaper model plain jane one for the same price or lower but thats not the point.

I did the same thing your doing a year ago. I looked at around 8 different trailers and found a guy in morris, il. that sold cargomates. I think they are about the best bang for the buck. I bought the qualifier series which looks like the haulmark thrifty but is built alot better. the frame is 16" on center instead of 24" it came with a finished ceiling, 4 lights, 48" side door, 102" wide, 4 d-rings installed, 5,200# torsion flex axles w/ elec. brakes+ bigger tires, 1 pc. alum. roof w/ 2 vents, 28' long for $6,000. The catch with buying trailers up here is the delivery fee. they are made in indiana and if you dont mind driving a little you can save several hundred bucks. He has 24's for around 6-800 cheaper. I've had mine for a year with no complaints. My wife and I painted the walls with a good oil base gloss white and the floor with porch and floor paint. Bought a nice counter top at home depot for $65 and made some shelves under it with 2x4s and plywood. I would definately spend the extra money for the heavy axles, it dont take long to fill. I already wish I would have bought a bigger one. If you want his number let me know or call info for gene funks trailer sales.
that was some really good info doubtme. it gives a guy things to think about that he may not have thought of. thanks.

My chevelle fits real nice, just learn to hug the right side when you pull in so you can get out. I forgot to mention that our's also came with a large door on the left side over the wheel well but it is about 10" too far forward to get the car door all the way open. It does make a nice "vent" in the summer. BTW how did you know I had a chevelle? I use a crewcab dually to pull with. A 28 will pull about the same as a 24, I don't use any type of stabilizer for the trailer but you will probably need them with a half ton. Any enclosed will probably give that truck a workout. If you want to have a bench, a quad, and a car, a 24 is going to be tight.

Please for the safety of others on the roads, do not pull a 28ft with a half ton, 3/4 minimum..... yes you may have plenty of power to pull, but not enough to stop. I would not pull without sway bars or load levelers....matter of fact I think it may be illegal to pull without load levelers, thought I heard that once. Load levelers will help stopping greatly.

If you have a half ton truck, its gogin to be working hard to pull that trailer against the wind. You woudl also need modified springs in ther rear . Make sure the trailer brakes are in perfect shape and that both trailer axles have the brakes and stopping will not be an issue. My 1/2 ford pulls 6000lbs no problem ( 302 / auto ) and gets up on the freeway with no issues and stops great, I have an open trailer though with brakes on one axle. I can stop just fine.
