I just watched that again. I wonder how the bottom ends stay in the truckas, becasue with that high of comression PLUS forced induction OF TWO KINDS those are some major cylinder pressures, plus it sounds like they run those well over 4000 RPM, more like 6 or 7000 RPM.. WOW

just watched this for the first time, looking at some old rsd vids, damn, that semi is fing sweet, that is a burnout if ive ever seen one, darrell you got any vids of you like that??

I recently drove a new Freightliner truck with a 550 hp detroit and the allison auto . :werd:
It would put a lot of the rice boys on the trailer at the RSD :flipoff2:
1800 ft lbs of TQ rules :hammer:

I work at a freightliner dealership and the internals of the detroits are a work of art .

Do they sell those tires in a smaller size? Those would be great for a burnout contest. They smoke something fierce.

2800hp, 5600ft lbs of torque, how do they even measure that?

Also the detroit V-8 92 is a 2 stroke so it sounds like it is revving twice as high as it actually is . so 7000 rpm sound would be arond 3500 actual :wedgie:
