Is the Turbo Blue in Darboy unleaded?
What about the Citgo in Oshkosh?

Won't the leaded fuels hurt my o2 sensors?

The way I remember, anything under 110 octane is unleaded. I am pretty sure.

There are a few types of turbo blue:

I was curious as to what type they have in Darboy, maybe they have both.
Does anyone know what octane it is that they have?

They have the standard leaded, 110.

I guess I would be better off with the stuff from Hugo Chavez then ,105 Octane, I believe.
I really don't think I need it yet. 12.4:1 on 93 pump gas.
I would just like to know, ya know, just in case:D

the the O2's ya would maybe have to change once a year but if ya run the cats yet it will plug them up for sure.

Cats? What are those?
I was considering this:

But it would probably just become a PITA after awhile.
I really haven't even gotten into the tune yet, so we'll see.

12.4:1 compression or 12.4:1 A/F ratio?????
If you are at 12.4:1 true compression I'd certainly run race fuel.
What is your engine/compression etc.

12.4:1 static compression. Dynamic works out to be a hair above 9:1.
Like I said, I haven't logged anything yet. I did a quick check and I had no knock retard, but that was only a quick check with the laptop.
Engine is a 383 . Lunati crank, manley h-beams and a 2618 piston. I want to run nitrous once the NA is good.

Tried to fill up at the Citgo in Oshkosh. It is 110 LEADED. He said he started out with unleaded, which I thought as of last year, it still was. Guess not....

It rased hell with mine while I was running it but I was on the spray as well so may have something to do with that. I know camaro1 had similar issues and said he changed his wonce a year... It maid a large diff as far as driveability with mine.

I know the leaded fuel isn't good for the o2's and catalytic converters but I don't have cats on the car.
I remember reading an article saying that the 02's would be good for about 1-2k miles. For a strip only car, that is awhile. For a street/strip cars that isn't too long. My last engine combo only had 1500 miles and that took 3 years to put on. My job sucks........

not true. I have sold quite a few fuels under 110 that are leaded. Having access to custom blending helps!

I used to sell a ton of fuel for Torco, i carried their pro accelerator for awhile and was good stuff. But after they closed up shop, and new owners reopened i never went back to them. Their quailty went south before the company folded and i dont trust them anymore.

There isnt really a number of miles they will last. The lead content on fuels vary, as well as if you are mixing pump gas and leaded fuels. Its worth the small hassle of replacing 02's one a year for the leaded fuels. More Motor octane (which is what counts), a lot more options for fuels, and typically cheaper to boot!

I guess I am not to concerned about changing them. It is as easy as pulling the drain plug on the oil pan... I would rather save the $150 for other stuff, but if thats what I got to do then so be it. Not the end of the world and with the car being a tremendous money pit, what the hell, a few more hundred every year won't matter:D

Hopefully I'll get my tranny problems resolved and see if it is either programming or mechanical. Another RSD missed. I was there but not with the car.
What's up with the Renegade Pro Series racing fuel? I noticed the price difference between the VP and this stuff. Are we just paying for the VP name? What gives?

Basically, ive sold fuels for every big name company in the game. Torco was a fan fav, because of the consistant fuel for great pricing. However last year they started to get real shady on their blends and eventhough we were one of their best dealers they still were real wierd over the phone, not promising anything on quailty. So i gave up with them, and shorty there after they filed for bankruptcy.
I sold fuel for Sunoco, but they started to go higher on the prices and started to get close to VP's prices. And VP >>>> all day over Sunoco. So i didnt see the point in carrying to higher priced fuels.
So Basically, the Renegade blends are almost identical to Torco's. Reason being, the guy who owns Renegade back in the day used to help with Torco's blends. That is something many people dont know!
However i can't say that VP is just the name, they are the best of the best when it comes to exotic/specific fuels. As well as consistancy in their blends. Renegade is a very small company compared to VP/Sunoco. So they cant produce the amount of gallons that the other guys can. Which is one reason why they arent as popular around the country.
VP is very pricey, it does help that we are a wholesaler for them, so our pricing is much cheaper than most in the state! But on the other hand, we offer really good pricing on Renegade's products as well as Methanol!! It's one of those things, if you are on pushing the limits go with VP. If you just need some extra octane at a good price Renegade is your best bet! < thats how i would describe the too!
