pinion angle

When installing a new ladder bar rear setup, what should I set my pinion angle at as a starting point before I weld the brackets to the housing? The original rear and suspension are long gone, so I have no "baseline" to go from. Does anyone know the "angle of the dangle"?

2 1/2 degrees sounds right ... Darrell knows for sure.

For ladder bars i'd go 1 - 2 degrees negative....
