Hey guys...decided to stay with the sbc 350 i have in the truck and just ordered a weiand 142 supercharger for it. Was wondering if my compression should i have to run straight race gas or half and half or pump. Its about 9-5 to 1 i was thinking straight since i heard it will be around 13 to 5 to one or something along those lines. And was also curious if my carb will be enough im running a holley 750dp hp. And one more quick question since no one has been able to help me yet. Im running the comp cam xe268 right now...i wish it was more of a blower cam the lsa is 112 and i heard between 110-115 is good for a blower cam. Thanks for any input guys! BTW Kegger at my house!

Alot of guys run those blowers with pump gas. Just make sure you set your timing accordingly.

i have ran the 142 and the 177 on 9.5-1 run 93oct up to 6lb of boost! and set the timing right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just get a 6btm

anything over the 6# pull timing and add oct!

i found that the small blower makes tons of heat and that's why i stated what you see!

I have heard of done rite and been there a few times...however he hasnt treated sum of my friends very well that have spent considerable amounts of money there. Then again he might of been having problems with it since it was a mitsubishi. I actually do have a nitrous plate could i just bolt it on and spray spray spray? What would need to be done?

What pistons are in the engine? What kind of fuel system do you have?

There enlies the problem....stock pistons. This winter im going to build a motor to handle the boost and n20. And the fuel system is stock other than a holley mechanical fuel pump......which is also going in the near future. Any reccomendations with what to go with?

You need to decide weather you want to put a blower on it or spray it?

If you are staying stock suspended, pick up some Cal-Tracs and Split-Mono leafs and that should take care of most of your problems after you put some stickies on the back...

Hey guys...im hoping someone responds soon to this. I got my blower on and everything and it made a significant difference. However im getting oil blowby. And i heard of doing a crankcase ventilation system but i cant figure out how to do it. Either that or should i just rebuild the whole engine even tho it prolly has less that 3000 miles on it. Thanks Andy

I'd like to hear the Done Rite story.....

I know Ed very well and I know how he deals with certain situations...I can GUARANTEE there is more to that story than you may even know.

Well....the guy i know brough his mitsubishi evo 8 there. He put a turbo on himself and blah blah modded it and needed a tune. He brough it to ed where he wanted a tune done so it would actually run good. Well he tuned it...and when he got it back it ran worse than ever. Wouldnt idle and would pop severely at high rpm. he paid 1500 and really got nothing.
I dont hold anything against him myself i was actually thinking about taking my truck there i just cant afford it right now. Idk what happen maybe i dont have the full story. Otherwise ive heard good things from him. Id like him to tune my truck cause i know hes good with the older stuff. Anyway....can someone help me with my blowby problem? Btw thanks for the caltracs website i will be ordering them shortly.

The only thing that will help your blowby problem is a new set of rings unless you have a cracked piston. If thats the case even rings won't help.

Did the guy take it back to Ed to make it right? Did the guy buy all the necessary parts to go along with the turbo intall, fule, air, etc?

I have never known Ed to just let an unhappy customer go. If given the chance to do it, he will make it right, UNLESS there is more to the stroy, like the guy is using stock injectors or fule pump, or whatever.

yeah i cant remember the whole story. He was going to bring it back to have ed fix it but i think ed wanted more money to correct it or something along that line.
But wouldnt a crankcase ventilation system help?
