Well, seeing everybody is crying about RSD because they want boards on and timeslips but yet want heads up action, then why is there only 5 people in the poll saying they will be there. This is the event that you guys are describing that you want so you better show up if you want something other than HS night. Yes, I put 5 and not 6 because Outlaw 1 is a sackless waste of skin and should have ran down his moms leg and is not showing up.

So this is everyone that is showing up Sunday?????? All I can say is what a bunch of whiners. No wonder WIR, Mike and Charlie from Dragsters and Doorslammers don't want to waste their time setting up a heads up race. Everyone cries about how they want the track to set up events and then no one shows. Real Nice.

But you just said that it only cost you $25 to go to the track and make passes all day. Why is it $200 now?

badass88gt
08-05-2008, 10:14 PM
Like I said, thats the entry fee to RSD, isnt it? Not all of us live close to the track. There are other expenses. Those expenses total just over an hour on the local dyno.

Is it true that you dont even pay to race at RSD? Thats the word going around in the pits, that you get comp'd in because of your "celebrity status".

You should be able to dynotune your car AND get a timeslip for that kind of money.

My point exactly. It cost you more then $25 to run your car.

And what does me not having to pay at RSD have to do with this.

One other thing before you assume that I get special treatment, Brian announced plenty of times free RSD for anyone that puts on a show(ex. wheelies, large burnouts, huge setouts and winning). As you can see from other peoples posts and your own eyes, the attendance is down at WIR ever since all of the examples haven't been happening. More attendance = more money in their pocket which = a measly $25 comp in for them. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that not getting a $25 entry fee in order to gain $1000 at the gate in spectator fee is a good deal.

Ummmm, no. I do have a mind of my own and why would Brian give a shit about the streetcar shootout.

The post is referring to anyone in general that cries about certain events because it doesn't have this or that. From what I see the SCS is the event everybody describes that they want and now there is only 5 people showing up? I understand some people have more important things to do and can't make it but if you look at how many people originally said they would love to have an event like this compared to how many are showing up, it looks to me like they are scared because their car is slower then so and so's car so why bother going.

Its just funny because that is his famous line. He tells people to use the street car websites on the internet to voice complaints and talk about the event but then calls them all sackless pussies for voicing their opinions because they are "hiding behind their computers". I don't understand how anybody is hiding behind their computer here.

As far as the event goes, I think alot of people were scared off last year because non of the rules were enforced and the word got out about it. But on the other hand there are alot of people that don't want any rules so how do you make everyone happy? You are probably right about alot of people thinking "they are too slow so they might as well not go". I noticed when we originally tried putting this Street Car Shootout together a couple years back everybody wanted their own class. It was like everyone wanted no competition so they could win easily. Some people don't have the drive to be competitive or even race I guess. Winning becomes to important for some people. If you can't be happy unless you win then racing is not a sport for you. I think there should only be one class. Big tires, small tires, big engine, small engine, nitrous, turbo, blower, naturally aspirated......all in one class. I don't see why there needs to be more than one class. Its a street car shootout not a bracket race, index race or class race. All the people that cry about big tires or power adders need to get there heads out of the magazines. Big tires don't make fast cars. I mowed down all kinds of big tired, nitrous big block cars with my black car and I drove that car all over the place...probably more than most people drive their economy cars. Your Camaro is the same way as is Mijal's small tire Chevelle, Retzke's Monte Carlo, Stud's Nova, etc. The list goes on and on of fast small tired street cars that do actually get driven often. So if people really need to win to attend a race then they need to take notes from some of these guys. Otherwise for those that just like to race and have fun and really don't care about winning or losing, then just show up and race.

Oh, and I would definitely be at this event if I didn't have anything else going on. I'm trying to move forward in life instead of sit still and just get by. We are looking at moving to Las Vegas in the near future so I am not sure if that puts me in the hiding behind my computer category or not. I haven't even been to the track to spectate this year because I'm a bit busy with other, more important issues. I have my whole life to drag race so please don't group me into that category.......not saying you were, I'm just asking that you don't.

But I potentially have two cars sitting here to race. One of which will suprise the hell out of alot of people with its super quiet exhaust and "little" 3.9 liter engine and the other probably wouldn't be much of a suprise unless everybody was blind and deaf.

Yes as a matter of fact I did show up only a little late do to the nice State Patrol Officer that was nice enough to inform me that I needed a front plate, tint off of my windows, tires with more thread, quieter exhaust, and seat belts needed to be worn as I was on my way down there so I was a little late. :werd:
