April 5 & 6..... Is it gonna be open???
Did the last snowstorm melt down there yet?

Will the track have any teeth?

April 5 & 6..... Is it gonna be open??? - Possibly
Did the last snowstorm melt down there yet? - almost

Will the track have any teeth? - doubtful

Honestly with as much frost is still in the ground the track may be a little slippery with moisture coming up through it - but ya never know.

Is Tomorrow still on at the Grove??? I don't feel like taking out a 2nd mortgage to go down there and then finding out they're not running anything. Does anyone know if they're going to have a actual race or if it's more of a T&T thing?

It's just fun racing 10 til 5. I'll be going down to run and hoping the track hooks a little.

It's going to be 60 degrees and sunny.

Since we're charging a whopping 15 dollars to race, I'm sure most will take it however it comes...

I don't really think it matters if your charging a whoping $15 to race or $50--some people drive long distances to get some passes in and if there not going to be at least semi quality--it's pretty pointless to waste the fuel money. Besides, it's advertised as FREE Saturday and Sunday.

Their free means you race for spectator price.

Blah Blah blah whatever...

Like I said on Crytown Racing... After one of the worst winters in over 100 years, I'll just be happy that spring is here, that racing season is here, and that I am alive and well and able. I'll get a chance to see old friends I haven't seen since last year, and I'll enjoy it.

My friend Dave Bandt will be riding along with me in spirit also.

There's plenty of other days I can go racing and get as many runs in as I want. It's opening day! Just like it was at Miller Park yesterday. Opening day is a HAPPENING. If all you care about is how many runs you will get, yea, I'd stay away too..

And it always makes me laugh, the same crying every year. I think I made like 15 passes last opening day... Some of these crybabies show up at 1:00PM and then go cry on the internet about how they didn't get to make but 2-3 runs...

Boo hoo... We open at 10. Get there early, you'll make plenty of runs.

wow...sure turned out to be a decent day for racing. My kind of weather. Although a bit windy, other than that, must have been great.

No better way to get the track in shape than lots and lots of cars going down it!

Wow you take alot of pics Greg! It was a great day for racing. The track was a little green and crowded but it was good to smell some rubber and grab some gears after the long winter.

I couldn't hook past about 80' on any of my 3 attempts, but man I'm telling you, if I could've held the track, I know I'd have gone my quickest E.T. ever in that car. I had my best 60' time ever by about 2 and I had my best 1/8 mile time by about fricken 5 and that was blipping the throttle about 5 times----YES!!!!! What a rush!!!!

Nope---I didn't wait. I went up right away and got my shots at the tree. We took 41 all the way back. I actually live up North of G.B. When you all travled to Dave's service last week you went within about 2 miles from my place. I live very close to Stiles Junction where you passed that Mobil station with the A&W in it. Todai I'm actually going back up to Norway to see another friend of mine that races at WIR in the bracket program. He's a older gentleman--that runs a mopar. He is another great guy. I like to see him as much as possible. He's doing well at the moment, but Jerry has lukemia, so I like to take advantage of the present.
