GM Windows??

I have a GA with a drivers window that does what it feels like when you roll it down. Does anyone know if I need the whole motor or if it's just that gear that needs replacing. I know this is a common thing cause I've had 2 vehicles that did it, but never kept any of them long enough to bother fixing it.

Also how hard or easy is it to do??
