broken!

I took of my valvecovers to check my valve lash and what did i see, three peaces of metal staring at me !! a broken valve spring. the inside spring on the #3 intake. Im pulling the heads friday. im glad i cought it now it would have destroyed the hole motor. any how do you guys no if i can reuse my head studs or do i have to replace them? this is the first time the heads have been off since it was built.:eek:

that shouldn't be a problem reusing them.

clean em off, put some sealant on them and re use them. On them chevys and fords they ahve to be reusable....they are off enough!

cool thanks now all i have to do is pull $180 out of my ass for new springs,and who knows how much laber is going to run!

I had to pull my engine to get the heads off.( i didnt have clearence to get to all the head bolts because of the headers) but i talked my wife into a bill mitchell hardcore 427 smallblocks, i cant wait!! now i wont have to fight those custom headers anymore. the only thing that sucks is it wont be done till next spring.
