Looking to buy a car 12 bolt or Ford 9" to slap in an '88 Monte SS. Locked with 3.73 to 4.11 would be ideal, but just a housing would probably work too.

Thanks,
Jeff

I have a 9" housing from an early bronco that fits a mustang very nicely. If you are interested I can measure it up for you.

get an early 12 bolt form a coil car, its a bolt in, all you need is a new( shorter ) driveshaft , or an 8.5 10 bolt GN or T Type rear.

Don't under estimate an 8.5, i know of a malibu that runs consistent 11's and has over 200 pass's on a stock 8.5 GN rear.

I had a 8.5" in my G body for 8 years and never touched a thing besides changing gears a few times. plus if you know where to look you can get one from the factory without c-clips, ive seen cars in the low 10's on them

Thanks for the input guys. I'll talk to my brother and see what he wants to do. Some assklown t-boned him this summer and the axle ended up being tweaked. So now it's on to bigger, better, faster, stronger:spinem:

Darrell, that axle's yours. I think we'll probably stay with a GM rearend to stay as close to bolt-in as possible, since this car's gotta be ready to go for PowerTour in June.:bna
